Lifting Up a Woman: Why it Matters

Economic Opportunity for Women

What kind of investor are you? Whether you prefer a sure thing, or perhaps are able to handle a good amount of risk, every investor wants a good return. Fortunately, our program participants around the world are a tremendous investment.

Five Talents seeks to serve the most overlooked people in the most fragile areas of the world. Given this focus, it is not surprising that 80% of our participants in our savings groups are women. Globally, women have considerably less economic opportunity, security, and freedom.

Women’s Empowerment

Many of the women we serve are illiterate, widowed, and overburdened by the needs of many children. But we have seen that women are an extraordinary multiplier of investment—because when you lift up a woman, you lift up a family, you lift up a community, you impact a culture.

On Wednesday, June 24th we have the privilege of hosting a virtual online event with special guest Claudette Kigeme, our Five Talents Country Coordinator from Burundi. Claudette will be sharing about the multiplying effect of our impact in Burundi as we invest in and empower women. I hope you will join us to hear how your investment has transformed lives.
