Good Monday morning,
Allow me to share a short story from one of our friends in Burundi:
A Testimony of Transformation
Helen is proud of her family. They've been through a lot together.
Helen's first business failed, and she and her husband wrestled with intense poverty and hunger. Helen was ashamed to go to the church in her village because she and her family did not have nice clothes to wear - she didn't think that they would be accepted.
The Power of Love
When friends asked her to join a business and savings group class at the church, Helen was surprised. But it was the first step in a long journey of healing and transformation for Helen's family.
Today Helen is a business-owner and sets aside savings each week. She and her husband are proud that their children eat good meals each day. And Helen is now the choirmaster at her church.
Helen shared recently with Five Talents facilitators in Burundi:
’’This program has come at a right time. Now I am surrounded by friends who truly love me, and who are contributing to the success of my business. In reality, I love them. And I pray for those who brought this program here. May the Lord bless you all."
Until next Monday morning,
Dale Stanton-Hoyle,
