News from South Sudan
What a wonderful week this has been. So many of you have responded generously to support our work.
And what a wonderful surprise as one of our partners in South Sudan, one of the poorest nations in existence, sent us a generous donation as well! I recall the great hospitality and the great vision of this partner from the time we spent with him last year in South Sudan.
A Growing Church
He wrote to us this week:
[We] thank God for the bountiful harvest we have had the last year amidst many challenges. … The result has been amazing, 12 months down the lane and 67 new churches were opened… Some of the new believers have started [Five Talents-supported] savings groups in these new churches that are used as Bible study groups…We pray the Christ will be made manifest as we say "let the Youths of this land know the Bible before they know the gun.”
This is the kind of vision that can lead South Sudan to peace, after so many years of suffering. Please join me in celebrating this bountiful harvest!
Until next Monday morning,
