Surprised: A Monday Message from Bolivia

Empowering the vulnerable in Bolivia with Five Talents

Dear Friends,

Sarah Mamani is one of our program leaders in Bolivia, and in her following message she reflects on how surprising God can sometimes be. Enjoy.

A PROBLEM ON THE SHOULDERS:

A Message of hope from Bolivia

Last week I received the news that some families do not have food. So, in the weekend I was thinking, how could I move more food to the church since my back does not allow me to carry heavy things. I looked for home delivery services, and I did not find anything that was accessible. Without realizing it, I was putting a lot of weight on my shoulders, trying to find a solution by myself. I was doing this because I didn't want to put another weight on anyone else. We can all go out only once a week, and none of us have a car to carry food.

LOOKING FOR THE SOLUTION:

Despite my doubts, I shared the need and the problem with our church. Everyone seemed to be worried, but as I assumed, they all had their own different problems to solve...more reasons to pray.

All I could do that weekend was keep on praying. . .Click here to read more of Sarah’s story.

As we honor Sarah’s convicting words, please note that this coming Tuesday, May 5th, is designated #GIVINGTUESDAYNOW, a global day of giving. If you are looking for a way to bring hope today for those in great need, please click here. Thank you for partnering with Sarah and all our global partners around the world!

Until next Monday morning,

Dale Stanton-Hoyle,
