Truly Grateful: An Update from Tanzania

This last week I had the powerful experience to travel in Tanzania and to meet with our savings groups there.

One of our grassroots leaders said he’s sometimes stopped on the street and asked, “are you a leader of the church’s micro-finance program?” He proudly answers yes and invites people to attend the group meetings.

Next we met a man who uses a treadle sewing machine, even though he has a disabled leg and walks with a cane.

Throughout the week I was struck by the enormous needs of the people and how hard our local leaders were working to meet those needs.

They inspire me, and I feel truly grateful.
